GRAND LODGE of THREE STARS

History

The Lodge of Three Stars was born in Beirut – Lebanon on May, 14, 1967, under the auspices of the Grand Orient of Lebanon (G.O.L) . On July 12, 1969 the G.O.L recognized the creation of the Grand Lodge of Three Stars, which started with the following Blue Lodges:
1: - Lodge # 1, for Arabic speakers .
2: - Lodge # 2, for Armenian speakers.
3: - Lodge # 3, for French speakers .
4: - Lodge # 4, for women.

On July 26, 1972 The Lebanese government acknowledged the establishment of the Masonic Grand Lodge of Three Stars (G.L.T.S) under the decree # 280/AD. After 1973, The Grand Lodge of Three Stars established under its auspices the following blue Lodges :

1: - Al-Fajer ( Sunrise )Lodge # 5, in 1973 .
2 : - Ararat Lodge # 6, in 1973 .
3: - Najme Bayda ( White Star ) Lodge # 7in 1974 .
4: - Noah Lodge # 8, in 1975 .
5: - Amir El-Kods ( prince of Jerusalem ) Lodge # 9, in 1977.
6: - Wa’ar Loubnan ( Lebanon’s Forest ) Lodge # 10, in1984 .
7: - Najme Al-Saouda (Black Star ) Lodge # 11, in 1985 .
8: - Melkart Lodge # 12, in 1987.
9: - Beryt Lodge # 13, in 1987 .
10: - Isis Lodge # 14, in 1988 .
11: - Chant Lodge # 15, in 1989. Gate of the lodge
12: - St. John Baptist Lodge # 16, in 1994 .
13: - Abraham Lodge #17 in 1996 .
14: - Knights of Orient Lodge # 18, born on 1998 .
15: - Hiram Lodge # 19, in 1998 .
16: - Joan of Arc ( Jeanne D’arc ) Lodge # 20, in 1998 .
17: - Oulamaa ( Knowledgeable) Lodge # 21, in 2000 .
18: - Al-Foursan ( The Knights ) Lodge 22, in 2001 .
19: - Norair Lodge # 23.
20: - Chevaliers Lodge # 24 in 1987 .



Activities of the Grand Lodge of Three Stars.

Despite all difficulties caused by the instable political situation and the Lebanese civil war, and despite the occupation and plundering of its premises by outsiders, The G.L.T.S succeeded in achieving remarquable activities and relationship with many international Orients and Lodges.
The G.L.T.S was one of the principal founders of The Orient of Kanaan in Beirut in 1979, under which auspices worked many Grand Lodges.
The G.L.T.S maintains strong relationship with Local and International Grand Lodges; and just to mention some of its achievements:
  1. Since 1980: Brotherly relationship and mutual recognition between the G.L.T.S and the 2 Grand Lodges in France, say the “Grand Orient De France” and “Grande Loge De France” .
  2. Friendship pact with Grand Lodge of Memphis, Paris
  3. In 1988 a pact was signed for the representation of the Grand College Des Rites (Seattle Washington ) by the G.L.T.S in Lebanon.
  4. In 1990 a pact was signed for the representation of the Grand Lodge of King Salomon ( NJ ) by the G.L.T.S in Lebanon
  5. On July (September) 11, 1997 an Act of Union between the Tripoli Lodge of Grand Orient of Lebanon and the G.L.T.S was signed.
  6. On Dec. 17, 1998 an Act of Brotherhood and recognition with the Grand Lodge of Italy was signed.
  7. On June 25, 1999 an Accord of Brotherhood and recognition with the French Lodge Felix Eboue Fraternite ( Paris ) was signed.
  8. On Dec. 9, 1999 an Act of accord and brotherhood with Grand Lodge of Bet Eil was signed.
  9. On April 10, 2000 a Union and recognition pact with the Canadian National Grand Lodge was signed.
  10. Brotherly Relationship with Grand Lodge of Al- Aktar Al- Arabia in the kingdom of Jordan with a friendship letter from His Majesty King Hussein.
  11. The G.L.T.S is maintaining best brotherhood relationship with many US as well as European and African Orients and lodges.
  12. The G.L.T.S participated actively in international Conferences of Supreme Councils hold in Belgium, France, Geneva, Italy, Athens and other Countries and is still acting for the welfare of the Freemasonry.
  13. In june 2010, the G.L.T.S founded a Polyclinic helping Freemasons and all persons in need to get free of charge medical consultations, drugs, laboratory & X-Ray exams and other medical support; Brother Sam Racoubian is doing a great Job leading the polyclinic with the support of St. Marc Laboratories. The official registered Members of the G.L.T.S reached 950 Br. by August 1st, 2010; however, some of them emigrated due to the Lebanese civil war which lasted for over 25 years…


Since its establishment the Grand Lodge of Tree Stars had the following acting Grand Masters, Br. Leon Bayramian , Br. Boghos Aramian , Br. Ohannes Apkarian , and Br. Tamer El-Khoury.
Deputy Grand Masters were Br. Fathert Vahan Ghazarian , Br. Hassib Abou Assaly, Br. Raymond Moubayed, Br. Mounir Assassa , Br. Pierre Koudoushian, Br. Jamil Habib and Br. Elie Barshini.

Above is a short information on the foundation of the Grand lodge of Three stars and some of its achievements for the prosperity of the Individuals, for the Humanity and for the International Freemasonry.
